New Antimicrobial Coating Available on Schlage Locks
Carmel, IN, March, 2008 – Schlage, in co-operation with Von Duprin, Glynn-Johnson and Ives, announces the availability of a new antimicrobial coating for door hardware.
High traffic, public use buildings are ideally suited for antimicrobial coated door hardware simply because they may have hundreds of people coming and going everyday. Make a big difference by adding antimicrobial coated Schlage door hardware to inhibit the growth of bacteria on the hardware surfaces.
The antimicrobial coating is specially formulated with silver ions that inhibit the growth of bacteria by interrupting cell multiplication. The result is that the silver ions surround bacterial cells - blockading food and slowing the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew, and odor.
Look for the antimicrobial coating available on Schlage L-Series, ND-Series, AL-Series, and deadbolt locks in 626 and 630 finishes.
We have the right solution for every application.
