your key blanks, and that means you control key
duplication.

- Key blank distribution is restricted; shipment
from Schlage requires a letter of authorization
from the end-user
- Restricted keys are stamped with a facility
ID code, which helps Schlage trace unauthorized
keys to their origin and take action against
anyone who duplicates keys without authorization

between conventional Classic cylinders and Primus®
high-security cylinders
- Protected against unauthorized manufacture
and distribution until July 2014.

Mixing and matching Primus® cylinders with
Everest or Classic cylinders provides and cost-effective,
flexible solution. Primus high-security keys operate
Everest or Classic cylinders and vulnerable exterior
doors to be protected with Primus cylinders while
still maintaining a single building master key.
Since Everest and Classic keys do not operate
Primus cylinders, you have an extra level of control
over how much access each user has when you choose
the type of key that is issued.
Small Format Interchangeable
Cores
Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC) is
available to answer your customers' needs. Schlage
offers small format interchangeable cores in 7-pin
Everest restricted keyways to retrofit Best®
cores and its clones. For convenience, 6 and 7-pin
cores are also available in the most common Best®
keyways. SFIC products can never use the same
key as Schlage's full size cylinders.
Everest Restricted Keyways
Everest Restricted key systems offer a higher
degree of key control at a mid-price point between
Everest Open and Primus® keys systems. You
provide Schlage with a letter of authorization,
and Schlage will drop ship Everest Restricted
products directly to the address you specify.
Restricted keyways are randomly assigned, but
are not offered with geographic exclusivity. Customers
who want this level of protection should move
up to Schlage Primus high-security key systems.

What is it?
All Everest keys have the patented
undercut groove that prevents other companies
from manufacturing and distributing the key blanks.
For additional security, D Family restricted key
blanks are not stocked by locksmiths or other
dealers. Schlage requires a letter of authorization
from the end user before shipping restricted keys
or blanks. Schlage will drop ship Everest restricted
products directly to the address specified by
the end user.
Restricted keyways are randomly assigned, and
are not offered with geographic exclusivity. Customers
who want that exclusivity can integrate Schlage
Primus Level 9 high security cylinders into the
most sensitive areas of their system, since Primus
(master) keys can operate conventional cylinders.
Conventional keys do not operate Primus cylinders.

replacement keys typically ship in ten days! There
are no special forms required, any key-only order
for QuicKey products automatically receives this
priority delivery schedule.
