What is it?

These keyways are Schlage's default for new commercial master key systems and commercial stock products. All Everest keys have the patented undercut groove that prevents other companies from manufacturing and distributing the key blanks. C Family open key blanks are available exclusively from commercial locksmiths and contract hardware dealers to provide fast, hassle-free service when end users need additional keys or locks. No letter of authorization is required but keys are not generally available at retail outlets and mall key stands.

Product Details

• Thicker keys resist breakage.
• All keys are made from premium quality genuine Schlage key blanks backed by professional service, skills and know-how of commercial locksmiths and contract hardware dealers.
• Retrofit cylinders available to fit many competitors' lock products.
• Keys can be cut on the Blue Punch even if it's an old machine. Upgrade jaw may be required.
• Protected against unauthorized manufacture until July 2014.
• Ten multiplex keyways are available for large key systems.
• Cylinders are 6-pin and cannot be inter-keyed into SFIC or products that accept only 5-pin cylinders.

Mixing and matching Primus® cylinders with Everest® or Classic cylinders provides a cost-effective, flexible solution. Primus high-security keys can operate Everest or Classic cylinders. This allows interior doors to be secured with Everest or Classic cylinders and vulnerable exterior doors to be protected with Primus cylinders while still maintaining a single building master key. Since Everest and Classic keys do not operate Primus cylinders, you have an extra level of control over how much access each user has when you choose the type of key that is issued.

Schlage offers two unique products specifically designed to help your customers and your business - The bulk Pack Cylinder and the Multiple Tailpiece Cylinder.

Bulk Pack Cylinders

The Bulk Pack Cylinder program is a cost-effective way to assemble a large variety of different cylinders from a small flexible inventory of partially assembled units.

• Selling sub-assembled cylinders in 10-packs lets Schlage pass cost benefits on to you
• Saves labor and cost when keying many cylinders
• Inventory is versatile. Cams and tailpieces are sold separately to install as needed

Multiple Tailpiece Cylinders

This cylinder lets you carry a single cylinder that can configured to fit Schlage A&H, A&H Orbit, AL, D Knob, and D Lever Series locks. Cylinders are available in both Classic keyways and the patented Everest C Family open keyways. Multiple tailpiece cylinders are priced the same as lever lock cylinders and cams with two key blanks.

Stock Products & IR Fast track

Schlage carries a full line of the most commonly ordered products in our Stock Products offering. Stock Products typically ship within 10-days of an order being placed. Schlage's stock offering includes:

• A large variety of Grade 1 & 2 locks in the most popular lever styles, finishes, and functions
• Products with Everest keyways or with Classic keyways
• Key-in-knob, mortise, rim, and interchangeable cores
• Openly distributed key blanks

Ingersoll Rand also offers the IR Fast Track program for customers seeking a single point of purchase for the most commonly purchased Schlage, Falcon, Von Duprin, Monarch, Dor-O-Matic, LCN, Ives, Glynn-Johnson, Recognition Systems, Locknetics and Steelcraft products. IR Fast Track products are available for shipment in either 24-hours or 5-days, depending on the order type.

QuicKey

This program complements our Stock Product offering. Typical factory response time on standard bow embossed Primus and Everest keys is 5-days and 10-days on non-Primus Classic and Best® replacement blanks.
